    Normally, the four stats can only be increased by spending either points or consuming a special potion. Also, the six protections are increased by armors, rings, or potions. However, through lots of alt-tabbing with a good memory scanner and creating certain minerals, animal ingredients and plants, I've found the stat maximum of 32,767 and protections maximum of 33,007. Since proper potions have to be used, and since I know nothing about programing, I don't see how a character editor could be used to directly change stats and protections. Or am I missing the boat?

    You could have just asked any MP player, we deal with those kind of protections on a daily basis. It's also not really that hard to make a toon with all protections maximized. I have heard of cheaters being able to tweak:
    -Health
    -Class of items
    -Level of char
    I havent heard of direct influencing protections. But you still can use very high protection armor sets to boost total physical protection. Normally available maximum physical protection after applying armor bonus (i.e. wearing a full set 56x, all items max class) is 47342 points. You can go higher with any one item with class higher than 50, or item with very high pre-patch armor rating.
    This cannot be done to elemental protections, though. Those are permanently capped at 33007 and cannot be boosted.
    With some hex-editing it is also possible to tweak amounts of items in stacks. This can make 10 unicorn horn potions in 100, hence granting all maximum stats is just a matter of 'skillful' tweaking of stack values.
    Via normal single or multiplayer gaming, neither stats nor levels can be maxxed fast in 1.6/1.7. Protections, however, can be capped very easily, even at level 50-60.
    This signature has been stacked 50 times(and now it can't be upgraded in any other way!).

    AS far as MP goes ,Im not sure how the Hexxers do it, I think they use the SDK, not quite sure on that. I wouldnt think there would be an option in SDK that directly states MP character editor :P, I bet its a little more complicated.

    Hmm... Yeh! Oh, another oddity; if you create your own armors, there's no restriction for swimming in it !
