Thread: Rare Items

    Default Rare Items

    Hi peeps,

now, seeing that at least on consoles many rare items are still around and after one 1.1 at least there are version of all of them spread around in the possession of hoarders and collectors, it'd be nice to know a bit about them.
What different items are there, how to come by etc.

For me, one interesting thing would be, what is out there still, after finding many by now, it'd be great to know, that there are still some weapons, shields etc. out there, ready to be added.

And with "rare" I just mean all of those somewhat limited items, that aren't available everywhere and if, only sometimes on random occasion etc.

Nuri's Garment - all black robe lvl 15 in MP especially, this robe is more for the flair than for the use, the crystal in it could be used by to knowing, if you happen to have the auras to pay for it in this early stage. Still very rare in my village. And yeahm it's a necromancer robe. :-)

Renoir's Working Robe - here also, if you dig the very violet purple coloring, it can be flair, although this robe really has it's use, seeing that it gives decend bonus to WP and allows the use of gauntlets, which will grant more WP bonus combined with the right gear. Lvl 30 itself I myself find it the easiest now at lvl 32/33. This one's an earth robe.

So far for now, I'll add some more and hopefully so will you. :-)

Interesting uniques from SP that can be found in MP pre-1.1:

    Robes:
    • Necromancer's Robe
    • Ornate Necromancer's Robe (both allow pants while disallowing boots and gloves).
    • Renoir's Work Robe
    • Nuri's Garment allows gloves and boots (not pants). They all allow wearing a bow, which makes some odd mage/archer comboes an interesting possibility.

    Various Armors:
    • Equestrian Tunic,
    • Rich Clothes,
    • Poor Clothes,
    • Leather Scapulari Wares,
    • Varn Pelt,
    • Rhino Pelt,
    • Baboon Pelt (all ranger armors) etc..
+purely social (though sometimes spawned with gemslots) starting-equipment
    • Old Shirt,
    • Leather Boots(black/social) and
    • Old Trousers.

    Headpieces:

    Gloves:
    • Magic Enhancing Gloves (lvl 15, +9%WP, phys protections + low lightning),
    • Polluter's Gloves (lvl 15, +15%WP, necro protections),
    • Evil Twins (lvl 30, +30%WP, necro protections, built-in gems Wis/Sorc.Art.+2),
    • Leather Work Gloves (low lvl, +5% STR).

    Legs:

    Feet:
    • Boots of Fluffy's Carapace (mages, low level, gem +2 El.Foc.),
    • Dragon Boots (speed increase + regular physical protections + built-in high poison protection that goes up with crafting!!!), some
    • Boots of Expedience that give speed but not much else (also cloth).

    Shields:

    Cloaks:
    • Dirty Rag - gives ACC bonus (while actually not really wearable by archers, and thus a nonsensical item) I've never seen in MP, but it's there in SP and most of the SP uniques made it into the pre1.1 version of the game, so be on the lookout.

Then there's a whole bucketload of unique weapons. They're mostly just good way to come by specific gems. I'll list some of what I remember here.

    Daggers:

    Swords:
    • None!

    Axes/Maces:

    Bows:
    • Harpo's Reach (rare)

    Polearms, long weapons:

    Staves:

Those are the ones I can recall right now. Keep in mind - ALL of the above will disappear come 1.1

You can check more details on the items in:
    Armor Database
    Weapon Database

Thanks Propheet!!! Great collection. I might add something to it, but your version might be a good way to have them all lined up. I hope you don't mind if I hijack it.

And "UFF" again, all will disappear...how sad. I'm still missing some :-)
    Edit:
So, I take Propheet's text a build for further additions, I might make a list later on (who knows how much there still is to collect...):

    Headpieces:
"Turban of Transference" (+10% STR lvl 30).

    Gloves:
    Cyclops Gauntlets (+10 % STR lvl 26)
    Edit:
Wow, nice clean up! Since you contributed so much, it's only fair not to have yours hijacked. :-D

    Polearms:
    Bird of Prey (50 spectral)

    Axes:
    Gargoyle Aileron (+2 Block Breaker)

    Headpieces:
Bee Cap (Air brim with water markings; +35% WP and +2 sorcery artisan)
Sorcery Artisan's Brim (Water Brim with nice markings; +30% WP and 2+ Wisdom)

So how the rare items work? I mean you can buy in village mode only? Also I have to buy it when my level within the item level or I cant buy it? (So its not smart just to do ton of quest leveling up fast without check out shop for rare items so I dont past the level needed to get the item) After the pre-1.1 you cant buy the rare items in pre-1.0 from shops no more? I just trying to understand how the rare items work because you say after pre-1.1 the rare items are gone from shops. Will the shop upgrade with a other set of rare items after pre-1.1?

Any infor you can post will help me understand. I just trying to understand it so I will not miss out on any good rare items.

Yes, you buy them in the village shops and it's mostly a level and then luck thing (although a good working production is a must). And yes, it's in the range of the item level, that you have to be, although I can't tell for sure.

And also yes, fast leveling will make you lose out on the items. However you can create another character and try it again, trade for them with players or go with lower lvl charas in their villages and then shop. A great concept that could make you a short deal as well, as players might sell loot and up your production for a short time.

They seem to have thrown them out. I don't know what happens once it releases on the 25th. Maybe there still be no patch, so you'll have time to collect.

Out of curiosity, is the Mortifier Spinal Stave available in villages? It's also a mage staff that requires no "essence" for upgrading - only wood. It's the equivalent of a necromancer's archmage staff, but doesn't require any specific magical skill level to use.

Also... a very minor oddity with Nuri's garment: It says it has a minimum required willpower of 15, but it actually requires 16. If your willpower is 15, you'll meet the requirement to put it on, but the negative bonus will kick in, dropping your willpower to 14, causing it to fall back off again.

So you have to be in village mode to get them or cant you be in quest & check them shops? or did you have a better % in village mode

Also do I need to have my village be built the right way & be within the range of the item to have a % of the rare items pop up?

Yes, I just bought it in my village. My current level is 55 if that helps.
I also bought a Elah's Soul staff at about level 50. I dont know if that is a rare item though.

There are only regular items on quests. It's what made the village special too. That is why I specifically ask about this in the other thread. It'd take flair away from the village for sure! My village just produces alright and you need to pop in often, so the items can spawn there. But right now, I seem to have gotten them all, or at least there was the chance to get them (here also, my question in this thread, to see what is out there still).

That may well depend upon what level you are when you get it.

Thx so I should go to my village shops alot and upgrade them too.
So what happening if there a level 30 rare items I want and you range of your level it will pop up is 30-35 level so I should stop doing quest into it pop up and what happening if it take forever to pop up or never does.

It could happen that you don't find some in many runs. But it can also happen that you get and endless seeming supply of some, so this is hard to say. It become frustrating though. There is always the chance to trade, so you don't have to waste the time. There were high lvl char who helped me with some things and items, so I know would easily give them some rares they missed before. Could work like this as well.

    Nuri's Garment http://twoworldsvault.ign.com/View.p....Detail&id=199

Says there about it being available in a " basic " village.

Does that mean a village with no upgraded buildings ?

I made a Level 1 & bought loads of items off the list above. I'm at Level 10 now & I really want Nuri's Garment. But every building in my village is upgraded..... Will I still get it ?

P.S. if anyone has it on PS3 & would like to trade it to me, my PSN is iGBx

Can't say about what is says there, but you find it in your village as all other items. Had everything upgraded myself. Starting with lvl 10 you can find one now. Keep looking and maybe add 2-3 lvls as well. Won't hurt. I had to look around a lot before finding some of those. Maybe it would've been easier around lvl 15. don't know.

Your character can use any weapon or armour within 4 levels of your own, also by the time you can equip it you can also start upgrading it as well. Depending on you skills this can be as many as 20 times, so in many cases a low level weapon can be constantly upgraded and still be effective against high level creatures.

Yipee, just got Nuri's Garment with a level 14. At Last !!
Got a ton of other stuff while I was searching for it LOL.

EDIT: It costs over 25,000 auras, so make sure you have enough on you when you start farming for it.
EDIT: Got 2 of them, the very next shop had another one

Keep on hoarding while you can. Level 13 is the best for Nuri's, 14 is also ok.

Firstly you'll need Metallergy, you get that anyway in the tutorial and Fusion also for working Gems, those skills will allow you to craft any item up to 10 levels, after that there are specific skills for weapon/bow/armour and Shield enhancement.

Crafting to level 10 will open a maximum of 3 gem slots on certain items (some only have 2 anyway), the extra skills allow for more slots in certain items eg. 5 in chest armour, 4 in weapons (except daggers), and all crafting increases the base damage/resistance of an item, (except "specials" ie Bonus items these follow their own rules!)
