tw2 potff quest - needle in the hay

i have strange problem - i don't know how to drop Sila's Tear in the shaman feet to complete part of quest ??? or may be i must go to Maren or ??? i look in stone garden, found hunters diary, but don't know how to complete this part....

stand near the shaman in the stone garden
open inventory and click on the tear

Am I looking at the right thing as the Shaman, the stone lizard creature near where you met the basilisk?
