In the original download I got only 80 mbs of content. Had to use mirrors. Same as zeddicus - playtime!

Same here. 176 mb (1.3 to 1.4). Downloading went fine.
Played a couple of minutes. The new graphic settings seem great, as well as the possibility of moving and selling multiple objects. Haven't had time to test much more. Two questions, though : - Why increase the numbers of animals in villages? Were they not enough? - What about the problem of having "quest related" NPCs killed by wandering beasts? Was that solved in any way? I didn't read anything about it in the changelog... (Maybe Fariel was the only one?) Anyway, thanks for the patch. I'll play more tonight. Got to go to work right now... Tough. |

Why does the summon creatures still *FREEZED after summoned? Don't they just follow or that is just normal? And the spritual RES doesn't show up in the status screen.
----------------- And kills the summon creatures still getting EXP.

Has anybody noticed that the game runs more smoothly with Nvidia cards? I'm downloading it, and I have a 7300GT, so I hope there will be a huge performance improvement
![]() ATI users must be upset... |

i must say, performance went up quite significantly, using a 7900GT, using higher settings than prior 1.4. Don't know what it changed, but i'm certainly experiencing a boost, i've turned off shadows again (for now, installing new pc this weekend) and play with my former settings, on those settings, it runs pretty much perfect now, whereas i had occasional slowdowns in prior 1.4.
anyway, opinions what can i say, the expectations lived up nice work, especially the horse behaviour. hope to see more patches and content in the future. small question, i've asked the same in a diffirent thread before i saw this one though, anyway, is there gamepad support in any way now? since i remembered someone saying it would be applied in 1.4, yet through normal game interface, my gamepad hasn't worked yet. It's not a necessary element ofc, but it would be fun |

Try another mirror or just later... Nobody would upload 200 MB on RS only for your favour.

I've played 2 hours with 1.4 and I am concerned about the following points:
- climate changes too fast and too many times in the game - nights seem to be considered as a regular climate and so only last a few seconds (I'm not exagerating : 10 seconds after having started figthing against a ghost, the sun was back). - Icons on the minimap (Teleports, respawn points, mana source etc.) are now surrounded by a colored glow effect that makes it very difficult or sometimes impossible to see quest markers. - at a first look, the game seems still too generous in skill points and loot. Otherwise, it is true that there is an huge improvement concerning horses. The depth of field effect is also a good addition to the graphic options and works fine without having too much impact on performances. I hope the previous points will be fixed in 1.5 without having to re-re-restart. |

One bad thing I have now, The game locks my entire system up when I start a new game then open the first gate where you have to kill groms. The screen starts flickering and moving up and down the it just stops, and then I have to press the reset button. It happens in the same place every time...
Loading my old saves works just fine though?!?, but i have since deleted those. Do I have to use the radeon option in the patch installer for my x1600pro? I didn't have to before. |

edwardecl, please pm me with your exact system specs, and CCC/Atitray configurations, and ingame settings, together with autoexec(if used). I will try to look into the problem, maybe we can solve it by some tweaking.

Well all I changed in the settings was setting the shadows to off, and thats all I changed from the default 1.4 settings.
I do have ati tray tools running but have not used it to change any settings apart from refresh rates. I'm going to try to reinstall the game and use the radeon option see if that works, if not I'm gonna try to tweak the settings. But none of this should make the entire computer to freeze like this, it looks like some sort of hardware crash, I think the problems comes in when it tries to spawn the groms. Anyway my specs, Athlon 2800+, Sapphire Radeon x1600PRO (AGP) 256MB, 1.5 gigs of ram, and the latest catalyst drivers from amdati. Other games run without problems, and this game did work untill the patch. I do like the new features though, such as the crtl click for moving items ^^, that works just fine in my old save. |

We actually have not encountered the same issue. One of tested systems is almost like yours, no such thing happened. The weird freeze is either linked to GPU problem - the most common being vram being purged or written to the already occupied cluster, or the similar case with DDram. In any case, the best solution is to have newest motherboard drivers, bios shadowing turned off, and registry cleaner wiping out errors in windows registry(this helped our memory related freezes) for DDram problems, and VPU recover turned on with advanced log entries available for Vram problems.
